Wendy Cox is an artist specialising in landscapes painted outside in Pett Level, Romney Marsh.

"This is a landscape I have known since childhood.  To begin with I study the subject in paint and try to find its physicality in a few colours.  On the final day the paint is put down quickly straight from the tube, using a full palette of colours to express the essence of the day.  If the final panting does not work, all the paint is removed and the process repeated.

Wendy studied at St Martins School of Art and the Royal Academy.  She has specialised in oil paintings of Pett Level since 2002.
